Fast Lock

Self crimping teeth create an easy alternative to soldering. Simply unscrew the top of the banana plug, insert speaker wire through the bottom of the plug, spread & fold the wire over & screw the top back onto the base. (Step-by-step installation guide included)

Non-Collapsing Banana Connector

Bowed strips of gold-plated brass/copper on the tips of these connectors provide a uniform & complete point of contact within the port & stay true to form even after multiple insertions.

8 to 18 Gauge

Each color-coded plug can accept speaker wire as skinny as 18 AWG & as massive as 8 AWG.

Low Profile

The connector only protrudes a mere 1 inch when installed.

What are these plugs used for?

Once attached to speaker wire, they connect audio components like a speaker to an amplifier, audio/video receiver or other professional sound application.

Does it matter how I install my speaker wire on the banana plugs?

It is recommended that you feed speaker wires through the bottom piece and then screw on the top piece for secure connections. For novice users, each package includes a step-by-step instruction manual.

Why do the plugs come in pairs?

Most speaker wire and sound applications are intentionally split for left and right audio. This provides a more natural, surround sound. Banana plugs come in pairs to accommodate for left and right audio. They are even color coded to help distinguish between the two.

Can this plug be used for video as well?

This plug is compatible with only audio, but can be connected to audio/video applications that contain compatible ports.

How will I know if the plugs are compatible with my devices?

These banana plugs should fit snugly into most audio components, speakers, audio receivers, amplifiers and other professional sound systems. However, certain devices require different sized connectors, such as spade tips, or bent pin applications.

What does AWG mean?

American Wire Gauge (AWG) is a standardized wire gauge system for the diameters of round, solid, nonferrous, electrically conducting wire. A higher numbered AWG means that the wire has a smaller diameter. The lower the AWG, the lower the electrical resistance. And a lower electrical resistance of a cable means that less energy is lost.

How many plugs do I need to set up an audio component?

Since common speaker wire and sound applications are split for left and right audio, you will need 2 banana plugs for each end of the wire. However, this may vary depending on the device, the speaker wire, or your existing equipment.

Can these plugs be reused?

Yes, the plugs’ 2-piece screw-on design makes for easy removal/reuse.
