What is the difference between Mini-USB and Micro-USB?

This cable is a Mini-USB Type B cable. Micro-USB is currently the most common connection for today’s devices such as Android smart phones and phablets, Amazon Kindle / Kindle Fire and many electronics accessories. Mini-USB is still used for some newer devices but is mostly found on devices manufactured prior to 2007. Micro-USB connectors and ports are smaller than Mini-USB cables and ports.
